Wink here from The Garden of Eden...Wink Wink.
God and I love this quote about compassion from Daniel Goleman:
"True compassion means not only feeling another's pain but also being moved to help relieve it."
Lots of people feel sad when they see or hear about someone hurting.
But compassion takes one more step.
It asks:
What can I do?
Can I listen?
Can I help?
Can I offer kindness?
Can I stand beside someone who feels alone, afraid, or treated unjustly?
What is making you sad that you would like to do something about?
My mom has a call into the superintendent of an ICE detention facility to see if she can bring in her dogs for pet therapy and offer a little comfort, hope, and love.
It may be a small act, but small acts of kindness can create big ripples.
What if we brainstormed right here, right now, how you might turn your passion into loving action?
Please share your ideas in the comments.
Together, let's create an avalanche of acts of kindness, compassion, and courage.
One person.
One act.
One heart at a time.
And as always...
Find the Wink within. ❤️
